[Emotional] Response to Junsu's tweets...by the SM Family

This is a follow up post from the previous post on Junsu's tweet.

So, after Junsu's emotional outburst on Twitter, some members of the 'SM Family' responded...rather harshly

Commercial break:
I get goosebumps typing the phrase SM family. Not that I don't believe people who are not related by DNA can become close like real family. But simply because, looking at all the idols and their harsh schedule, I really can't call that family. True, some may say, your family would truly want you to succeed, and putting you on the harsh schedule is not to kill you, but to shape and propel you to an even higher level. I am sure many parents are strict with their children and bear high expectations for their children. But no matter how high the expectations and how strict, a truly loving parent will never push the children this much. There have to be a limit. Frequent injuries, visits to hospitals, medication, drips, injections etc is enough to break any tough parents down. Just go to a hospital and look around. Where there are sick children, there would be extremely worried parents, some even crying because they feel so helpless about their child's illness or pain. One may also say, it is the idols themselves that want to work even harder for greater success. But this is exactly when family/parents/elders come in. Kids (idols in this case) are young, they may neglect other important things in life while they pursue career and fame, and as family, you are supposed to tell them to slow down, tell them that they are other matters which are equally, if not more important than fame and success. So, with that said, I really can't call them family, as a whole. Of course, not the entire SM is evil. I am sure there are some nice managers, drivers, coordinators, stylist, makeup artist, filming crew etc who genuinely cares for these idols. And depending on their age, they may view the idols like their own sons/daughters, nieces/nephews, brother/ sister etc.
End of commercial break

That was a long commercial :p

Let's start with Sim Jaewoon & BoA.
Sim Jaewoon is part of SM's choreography team and he wrote the following on 7th Jan 2011:
“I can’t just hold back any longer.. Hey, little brother, that’s not right at all.. Who do you think you are pointing fingers at?  Don’t act like you’re so upset.  Who’s the real one that’s hurt in here…?  So ungrateful, how could you do this?”
Next, BoA retweet the above and sort of told her followers to read it.

Sim Jaewoon
I don't give too much care who he is. But I cared for what he wrote.
Hey, little brother, that's not right at all
So now you have a crystal ball? Who are you to say it is right or not? This is between the 5 of them and if Junsu's tweet is truly aimed at Yunho, it is for Yunho to deal with.
Who do you think you are pointing fingers at?
Well, first off all, Junsu didn't mention names. You are just speculating, like the rest of the fans. Are you a Yunho stan? Hahaha. And again, if Junsu meant it for Yunho, then I can answer your question. Junsu is Xiah Junsu who is part of DBSK with Uknow Yunho, Youngwoong Jaejoong, Micky Yoochun & Choikang Changmin ONLY.
Don't act like you're so upset.
How do you know Junsu is not truly upset? You stalk him? Installed a spy cam in his house and hired a Private Investigator to follow Junsu round the clock. And you monitor his every word, message, phone call, every single person he met?
Who's the real one that's hurt in here...?
I think all 5 are hurt, along with their families, close friends and yes, even their fans. To be fair to Sim, since Yunho stayed in SM and Sim is in SM, he probably witness how depressed Yunho was and he felt a lot for Yunho, that is understandable. But again, you didn't see Junsu did you, Sim? How would you know he is not hurt? And, do you know the whole story?
So ungrateful, how could you do this?
Again, no one knows the full story, so please do not use the word ungrateful to label Junsu, indirectly.

BoA
I guess everything I typed above could apply to her as well.

Super Junior Sungmin
He wrote this in his Cyworld:
Even though I didn’t want to say anything about it, I really think this has gone too far, so I’m posting this message. I mean, ever since the old days we have always told each other to always work hard together and told each other to have strength. Does he not remember? In the beginning we love practicing together and appearing on TV once seemed like a dream to us. Did he forget? Once again, please look in the mirror and don’t throw away the memories from being a trainee. I could understand why they left without a single word, but I really don’t know why they are making  people who are working hard on their own thing look stupid by spreading absurd lies and hurtful words.
I am going to be magnanimous and accept all the wrote, except the last sentence. To me, if Sungmin doesn't know the whole truth, he could really be confused too. Why did these 3 sunbaes leave the company. Yunho & Changmin sunbae look really upset now. He probably missed them too. His first few sentences are pretty nostalgic, reminiscing on the past, as trainees, about dreams, practicing and performing. I can even handle the part where he says "I really think this has gone too far", I can just brush it off. But ending of the last sentence:
...but I really don’t know why they are making  people who are working hard on their own thing look stupid by spreading absurd lies and hurtful words.
This, I cannot accept. Do you know the whole truth Sungmin? If you do not, how can you claim that JaeChunSu (since he used the word they) is spreading absurd lies and hurtful words. Anyone can also jump in now and say whatever you posted in your Cyworld is equivalent to spreading absurd lies and hurtful words about JaeChunSu. And what makes you think they are making people who are working hard on their own thing look stupid? Anyone can also say that your statement is making JaeChunSu, who is working hard on their own thing (they really are working hard) look stupid (by caring enough to tweet and for being upset)

Super Junior Shindong
He re-tweeted Sim Jaewoon's tweet and added the following:
Enemy: an opponent who would fight or hurt another.
Ingratitude: an act of not acknowledging one’s debt or betraying the one they are indebted to.
Or in other words, saying that my family would fight or hurt another is an act of betraying the person you’re indebted to!
Shindong, I am also asking you, do you know the whole truth? By the way, what kind of family block their own family members from appearing in broadcast? Or meddle with family member's releasing albums. Hmm...I really wonder Shindong. By the way, you might want to add in to your tweet, what exactly is YOUR definition of "family"

Now, I am going to talk about all this lash backs at Junsu's tweet, from another perspective.
Could they have been instructed by SM to do this?
I don't know. It is a 50-50 possibility.
While it is understandable for Sim, Shindong & Sungmin to listen to SM's orders, does queen BoA need to?
Well, she owns SM's shares, so she is in a way defending her own company. I know we are talking about defending Yunho here and not SM, but if you look at it, attacking Junsu is as good as defending SM. Another reasoning is, queen or not, she is still SM's artist and still have to abide their request. In business, there is no queen or king, its only about who have the bigger shares and ultimately, only about the money.
They are SM's artist, maybe they knew the truth?
Yes this is absolutely possible. However I sometimes feel that this whole issue is so complicated that I feel even the 5 boys themselves do not know the whole and absolute truth. The reason for me to say this is very simple. This whole issue involves so many people, the 5 boys, their families & the people who call the shots inside SM. If at any point, any one of them starts lying, everything will snowball and truth becomes muddled. So, maybe these people who responded to Junsu's tweet knew something, but perhaps not everything. And the same applies to the 5 members of DBSK.
They are just acting out what their hearts tell them to.
Definitely possible. They are humans too. And they are friends with all 5 members. Since Yunho and Changmin stayed back in SM, they were probably in contact. They could have seen how lost, depressed, angry, pressured or disappointed the 2 were. And when they read Junsu's tweet, they just felt a need to voice out their dissatisfaction. Always remember, idols and artiste have emotions too. They could cry and break too.

Also, I am going to talk a little about Junsu's act of tweeting those tweets
He absolutely have a right to express himself and it is his page. People who do not like it can damn well not read it. Unfortunately, twitter is never something private to begin with. It is something that spreads faster than when fire meets oxygen. Junsu could have exercised some tact and not write it down there. Perhaps to him, this is a new found freedom that he is determined to show to the world; to be able to express himself freely, without having to act like everything is all fine & dandy when it is not. And honestly, Junsu is man enough to not go delete the tweet or anything. Any sort of back lash and criticism, he took it like a man. Duck butt is growing up! But seriously, please don't do this again Junsu. Next time you are upset, just send your Jaejoong hyung a message. Just type Hyung and put in as many exclamation marks as you want. Or go troll on Yoochun and his forehead. Better yet, just tweet some new Oyaji gags. I miss the you doing them.

As a side note on Junsu. While everyone is focusing on guessing who is the "hyung" and who is the "enemy" and drawing their own conclusion that Yunho is the "hyung" while LSM is the "enemy", I actually noticed something else. The way Junsu said "that person was the enemy of all 5", doesn't it look like Junsu is confirming to us that, they had indeed at one point, decided to leave together? I am saying this because, up till today, there are people who are saying, Yes, all 5 wanted to leave but some HoMin changed their mind and then there's another group who says, No, it wasn't an "all 5 wanted to leave thing" at all.

As a closing, here's a summary of what I think:
- We really do not know why Sim, BoA, Sungmin & Shindong did what they did. So it is not fair to just cry foul at their actions. Especially when we also do not know what is the truth
- However, I do really feel that, there is no need for them to do a public "reply" to Junsu. The matter is really between the 5 members themself. If you really feel the need to "lecture" or "knock some sense" into Junsu, contact him privately. Things are complicated enough and has involved enough people, we don't need more jumping into the bandwagon.
- Junsu really did get his emotions get the better of him when he tweeted all those. But who is to blame him?
- If we calm ourselves down and look back, it really is just 5 people, being completely free to express themselves. And during times of high emotions, these 5 may have made some statements they probably would not usually say.

  1. I am not biased with this whole issue... But because i've been listening to KYHD nowadays, i read old articles about it. I agree with most of what you said but what I cannot accept is that you support JYJ for voicing out their opinions which i do too by the way but react harshly to what sungmin and the others say. Please walk your talk
