Why HoMin Stayed

This is one sensitive topic to talk about.

Here are some possibilities:
1. There really is nothing wrong with contract terms and profit distribution, so there is no need for HoMin to leave.
2. HoMin's contracts were better than JaeChunSu. [Not sure about this, were HoMin's contracts ever released?]
3. HoMin strongly believe DBSK/ TVXQ would never have existed and become so successful if not for SM. Hence they feel the need to at least fulfill their end of the bargain. You know, SM made you and gave you success, so you stay and make money for SM til the contract ends. I know this sound very cliche, but you have to admit, if not for SM, there really wouldn't be Dong Bang Shin Ki. Yes, these 5 boys are talented, but would they have met each and form a group if not for SM? Talent is important, but it is equally important to have a big entertainment company backing you, funding you when you first start. The key words in this point are loyalty and gratitude.
4. This is part of the plan in the DBSK conspiracy hatched by the 5 boys themselves.
5. There really is something not right with contract terms and profit distribution, but HoMin does not want to go through the hassle. They rather put up with it. It's alright to earn less and just continue their dreams.
6. Family values. Their family could be against them leaving.
7. They are afraid of losing everything. They are not dumb people, they knew what SM would do to block them and ruin them if they try to nullify the contract. Whatever is happening to JaeChunSu (being blocked from TV that is) is apparent for the world to see. Quit saying the blocking not true. Slap yourself, put your bias aside, use your rational thinking and wake up! Back door pressure does exist. Not only in entertainment circle, it is EVERYWHERE!
8. They were offered slightly better contracts in exchange for staying. Their popularity & money-making ability is unquestionable, SM would give in a little bit just to hang on to the Dong Bang Dollars. Who knows, these "slightly better contracts" could have been offered to all 5, but JaeChunSu may have felt it is not enough while HoMin felt that it is acceptable?
9. They were offered something even more than just slightly better contract terms. Maybe company shares? I don't really know how well SM's share is performing but I do know SM is a clever money-making company. No doubt about that. Having some of their shares means a guaranteed source of income, even when you are no longer popular, no longer an idol, or when you go to military service. It is like an insurance, for yourself and your family. I know I sound like I am worshiping SM, but trust me, I am not, just stating facts here, from a monetary standpoint. It seems KangTa from H.O.T have some SM shares. Does that sound familiar? H.O.T & DBSK. JTL from H.O.T leaving SM & JYJ from DBSK leaving SM. Anyway, if shares are offered, there could be terms that comes with it, for example, it will only fully belong to you when your contract ends, or you need to release x number of albums before it really becomes your, or x number of concerts/ tours, or you need to earn x amount of money for company, bla bla bla.
10. They didn't think it would spiral out of control and turn into a never ending ugly lawsuit. By the time they realized, all dust have settled and it is too late to say "Let's leave". Too many things could have gotten implicated along the way.
11. They want to leave, but they also still want to do "Paradise Ranch" & "Heading To The Ground". I know this sound shaky, but it could be true. If they really joined JaeChunSu, I wonder if they could continue on with those 2 dramas. If they couldn't, they would have affected not only themselves but also the cast & crew of both productions and that is just wrong.

**Color of the text do not mean anything. Just thought using an alternating color between points may make it easier to read, since I do not space in between points.

Enough with my nonsensical ramblings above. Let's look at the statements released by HoMin in November 2009, stating that they are on SM's side.
Source from allkpop:http://www.allkpop.com/2009/11/changmin_and_yunho_supports_sm

1st paragraph:
Basically it just talks about how SM is the one that made DBSK possible. They plan to keep their word on the contract and continue working with SM.

2nd paragraph:
SM is the best for DBSK

3rd paragraph:
Asking JaeChunSu to come back before it is too late and their career becomes a standstill.

4th, 5th & 6th paragraph:
Crebeau is the reason of everything and Crebeau is dodgy.

Again, we do not know if these are the sincere thoughts of HoMin or were these scripted statements. If concert talks are scripted, why not press released statements? Some things in this statement are really true and I really agree. Things like how SM is the one who created DBSK and made them so successful. Even the point which says SM is the one that knows DBSK the best. I could take a jab at that and add "knows how DBSK can make the most money". Paragraph 3 is also true. Putting aside lawsuit and everything, just looking at their career and dreams, at that point, if they want to continue as 5, the 3 need to come back before their career vanish. I repeat, putting aside lawsuit and everything. However, the world is not ideal.

Moving on paragraph 4-6, it just look like an endless jab at Crebeau. And I believe the court itself have cleared Crebeau off at a later point in time. Did anyone follow up with HoMin on their statements regarding Crebeau then? Just kidding, please spare the boys. Its these 3 paragraphs that make me feel the statements were scripted, the way it endlessly defile Crebeau's name and put all the blame on Crebeau. Besides, say if the statement were not scripted and were in fact written by HoMin themselves, from where they did get the information regarding Crebeau being the root of all evil in this whole saga? Someone from SM? They hired an investigator? Someone from Korean court? I would think it is someone from SM telling them and well, they just trusted it. Maybe they were really too tired, depressed and confused to even think, and just act accordingly to what SM wants them to. I can't even imagine how many directions they were being tugged at, at that point in time.

Something else very fishy about this is, JaeChunSu's argument were on unfair contract terms and unfair profit payouts. Yet, these weren't talked about in the statement. Anything in reference to SME are general statements about how they (SME) are the best and how the boys intend to "keep trust and promise and thus intend to stay". You see, they never explicitly say that contract terms, duration and profits were alright. In other words, they never said that the argument points of JaeChunSu were invalid. Instead, they continually point finger at Crebeau. Half of the statement is about assassinating Creaeau's credibility and image. Also, they kept reaffirming that they owed everything SM and intend to keep their promise to SM. All I see is loyalty and gratitude to SM. Whether if SM deserve the loyalty and gratitude, I am not in the position to talk about that. Only SM idols themselves have this right. They know best.

Side track: I sometimes feel that, all parties play a part in this saga and all are at fault, one way or another. All refers to SM, JaeChunSu, HoMin, AVEX and also even the media. Cynically, Crebeau may have been the biggest victim. Don't quote me on this, go do your own research. Is there any filthy rich Cassie in this world? Can you go hire an investigating & legal team to find out everything and enlighten the world? It is ok, I think I can take the truth, I have already stated many times that I do not think the 5 DBSK boys are angels with no fault at all. There ARE things we do not know.

During HoMin's comeback, there was supposedly a "Revealing Press Conference by HoMin". I actually don't see what is so revealing about that press con and whatever HoMin say. It's either I am numb already with all these dramas, or maybe its because I choose not to "read too much" into things they say.

My summary of what HoMin is trying to say in the "revealing" press con is as follow:
1. We really just want to jump start our career once more, please focus on our music and stop asking us about things that are not related.
2. We can't or don't want to talk about lawsuit related stuff. Spare us. It is painful.
3. We want to let everyone know, that even as 2, we will work hard and both of us are perfectly in sync with other in everything we do.
4. We are not sending hate to JaeChunSu via our music and dance. (KYHD)
5. SME FTW
